From June to August 2020, we will organise a series of online seminars, running from June until August. Topics we may cover in our dicussions include, but are not limited to, disagreement, expertise, rationality, perception, realism, conceptual art, imagination, and community.

This reading group will study recent contributions to understanding aesthetic practices in general, and will focus in particular on the following three aspects of aesthetic practice, namely justification and rationalisation, education and character building, influence and enthusiasm.

This reading group will study two central historical authors, and look at their approach to the aesthetics of character and conduct (if there is such a thing). We will read promary source material, and discuss recent commentaries.
